Selwyn Awards

20 April 10

Izone businesses are being encouraged to enter the 2010 Selwyn bi-annual awards.

The awards are run by the Selwyn District Council and are an opportunity for Izone businesses to join with the rest of the district to celebrate success in business, community, sport, environment, arts and culture, and to recognise young achievers.

Izone development manger Robin Hughes is encouraging all Izone businesses to enter the awards. “The Selwyn District is changing – it’s appropriate that Izone businesses step up and join with the wider Selwyn community to highlight the changing face of the district.”

Previous winners include BE & PM Pullin Shearing Ltd, Darfield Bakery, Southern Woods Nursery and Oakley's Fresh Fruit and Veges.

You can nominate your own company or a friend's business by visiting

The awards will be presented at the awards dinner on Saturday 31 July at the Rolleston Community Centre – the last event attracted over 350 guests including the former prime minister Helen Clark. Prime Minister John Key has been invited to this year’s event.

Izone businesses are also being encouraged to support the event by buying a table at the awards dinner to host clients, employees and or suppliers.
