The aim is to create a destination

Piezone Pies, fish ‘n’ chips and stone-grill meals will be on the menu when the eagerly anticipated Cafe Izone opens its doors in mid April.
Owner operators Steve and Shelley Trigg from Rolleston are building a 50-seater cafe/restaurant, a lunch bar and a fresh fish ‘n’ chip shop, as well as a boardroom available for hire by Izone businesses.
“The aim is to create a destination. We’ve gone for a timber look in the furnishings, there’ll be alfresco dining and most of the building will be glass.
Steve can’t say what brand of coffee he’ll be serving as it’s still under negotiation. “We want to offer the best quality coffee at the best price and include in that a loyalty card for our customers.”
The Triggs are experienced in the hospitality sector having spent six years running the Onerahi Tavern and Triggy's Family Restaurant in Whangarei. Shelley grew up in Yaldhurst and Steve says they decided to move back to Canterbury to seek better opportunities and for the lifestyle.
The Triggs are a welcome addition to Izone family – Steve is a member of the Rolleston Volunteer Fire Brigade and Shelley helps out at Rolleston Primary.
